From the 16th to the 18th of November, the Men’s Basketball team of the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho) was present at the 1st North Concentrated Day (NCD), in Viana do Castelo. The group won three of the four games they played.
Composed of 17 players, the team of Minho Academy started the competition in advantage, after winning the Academic Association of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, by 51-30 and 56-18, respectively, on the first day. On Thursday, it was the turn of the players to face the Academic Association of the University of Beira Interior. For the third time in a row, the group won the match, by 41-27.
On the last day of the 1st NCD, the men’s team lost against the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro, by the small margin of 34-41.
With these results, AAUMinho is in third place, provisionally, in the league table. From February 27th to March 1st, the 2nd NCD will take place in Coimbra, in which the Men’s Basketball team will also be present.
