On the 29th and 30th of November, the Camélias Sports Complex hosted the start of the 2022/2023 Men’s Football season. The 1st North Concentrated Day (NCD) brought together six teams, under the organization of the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho).
The Minho Academy team entered the field on Tuesday morning, against the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro. The AAUMinho players won the match by minimum margin (1-0). In the afternoon, it was the turn of the Minho team to face the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. The second game was synonymous with the second victory, by 3-0.
On Wednesday, the athletes returned to the pitch and secured another victory. The Minho formation beat the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, by 3-1.
With three wins in three games, the AAUMinho Men’s Football team is temporarily in first place in the league table. The group returns to the competition, on the 14th and 15th of February, with the 2nd NCD, in Coimbra.
