On the 14th and 15th of November, the men’s Futsal team of the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho) debuted in the 2022/2023 sports season. Composed of 17 players, the group won the three games of the 1st North Concentrated Day (NCD).
The competition took place at the University of Minho. The Gualtar Sports Pavilion was home to seven teams from the North region.
On the first day of competition, AAUMinho faced and won the Academic Association of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, by 2-1. During the afternoon, it was the turn to receive the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. Victory was also guaranteed, after winning the match 4-1.
On Tuesday, the Minho team played against the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda. The third match was synonymous with the third victory, after winning 6-0.
With these results, the AAUMinho Men’s Futsal team is provisionally in first place in the league table. From the 7th to the 9th of February, the group returns to competition with the 2nd NCD, in Viana do Castelo.
