On the 27th and 28th of February, the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho) was present at the 2nd Concentrated Day of Women’s Basketball. The competition took place in Coimbra.
The Minho formation started the games in the afternoon of February 27, against the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. The duel ended with the victory of AAUMinho, by 47-26.
On the second day, it was the turn of the team to face the Academic Association of the University of Évora and the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro. While, in the first game, the feat was repeated and the Minho Academy team won, by 44-19, in the second match of the day, AAUMinho suffered the first defeat of the season, by 19-39.
With seven games played in both rounds, the Minho players had six wins and only one defeat, which reflects their effectiveness and quality. In this way, AAUMinho was qualified, in the second place in the league table, for the final phase of the National University Championship, in Viana do Castelo.
