On the 1st and 2nd of March, the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho) was present at the Concentrated Day of Women’s Handball, in Leiria. The team of the Minho Academy, composed of 14 players, won every game they played.
On the first day of the competition, the team won, by a large margin, the Academic Association of the University of Beira Interior, by 22-7. In the second game of the day, the feat was repeated and AAUMinho won the match against the Polytechnic of Leiria, by 26-10.
On March 2, the formation of Minho faced the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro. The third match corresponded to Minho’s third victory, by 21-20.
With three games held at the Concentrated Day, AAUMinho won all matches, finding itself in first place in the league table. In this way, the women’s team is qualified for the final phase of the National University Handball Championship.
