AAUMinho was born on December 19 of 1977 and It is the representative structure of all students at University of Minho.

Among its goals, the following stand out: to defend and promote a democratic university, inserted in its community; to promote culture and sports within the academy; helping students to boost their career; to encourage human and community relations.
